Exumer - 1985 - A Mortal in Black

Exumer es una banda Thrash metal originaria de Fráncfort del Meno, Alemania.

La banda se formó en 1984, cuando el bajista y vocalista Mem Von Stein, en un concierto de Slayer, conoció al guitarrista Ray Mensch. Querían iniciar una verdadera banda de thrash metal y en ese mismo año se formó la banda bajo el nombre de Tártaros, que después cambiaría a Exumer.

La banda ha lanzado 2 demos y 2 discos completos, a pesar de no ser una banda muy popular, Exumer ha grabado un thrash de muy alta calidad, al ser considerados sus 2 discos dentro del ámbito thrasher como verdaderos discos claves del género.

En 1985 grabarían su primer demo llamado A Mortal In Black.

Firmaron con la disquera Disaster Records. El Demo incluía 3 canciones, las cuales serían posteriormente añadidas a su primer álbum "Possessed By Fire", en una re-edición hecha en 2001. El Demo se componía de las siguientes canciones:

Último material de la banda, que viene como anillo al dedo después de su Gira Sudamericana en Septiembre pasado [por lo menos en Chile]. Disco que trae la canción de su igual último EP "Chaos And Brutality" del 2007, canción del mismo nombre. 2007 ya que durante el resto de estos meses hasta el pasado 19 de Noviembre [2009, fecha de salida al mercado del disco], se dedicaron a sacar Split con diversas bandas de la escena estadounidense y luego vino la gira. En general, es un buen disco, pasando por una de sus mejores épocas demuestran en cada canción la potencia destructora, la velocidad y el talento que tienen.-
